For many people this is especially true in this year, because the day of St. James, the 25th of July, falls on a sunday and therefore Holy Year is 2010.

Only during the Holy Year you can enter the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela through the Holy Door (La Puerta Santa). This is of course a touching moment because the next Holy Year is far away, in 2021.

Nur in einem Heiligen Jahr kann die Kathedrale von Santiago de Compostela durch die Heilige Pforte, die Puerta Santa, betreten werden. Das ist ein ganz besonderer Moment, vor allen Dingen weil das nächste Heilige Jahr erst 2021 sein wird.
